Finally! Thank God I finally have the Wii U version of Smash Bros., but the thing is, I have 4 GameCube controllers lying around my room. But I don't want to use a Wii remote or the GamePad. I wouldn't mind using my 3DS as a controller, but it's not enough for the console version of the game. You all know that the Wii U doesn't have GameCube controller plug, so I had to order the adapter. The thing is, the official adapter isn't available on any store. Then you'll find them on eBay for 50-100 bucks. I ain't gonna spend that much money on an adapter. So, I looked for an alternative: The Mayflash GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U and PC.

The thing is actually pretty amazing! I expected to be crap and would of suffered input delays, but I was glad to be wrong. Bottons are pressed right at the moment I wanted to. Just amazing.

Not only can it be used on the Wii U, but also on PC. You can use the adapter on your PC and use your GameCube controllers for emulators and some PC games. Really handy if you have multiplayer games.

The cord is very long. About 5 feet of length, compared to the official which is only 3 feet. Then most GameCube controllers have cords about 3 feet, so in total, you'll have 8 feet of length! So you don't have to huddle with people closer to the TV.

Overall, the adapter is better than the official. It has more features and more useful for most people. The design is pretty generic, but hey, if it works, I can't complain. The adapter can be priced between 20-25 bucks either on eBay, or Amazon. I got mine for 22 bucks at Amazon. Yeah, you'll spend more than the official adapter, but you'll get more features from it.

Score:
9.0/10

How's it going Nin10dude. I just got the adapter last week. Pretty perfect. Just get it if you're on the fence. Also, is that Etika?

Does the Wii U recognize the thing as an official adapter?
Are you retro?
